Device Manager consists of 5 different tabs.

  • Subgroups, which is visible when there are further steps in the device hierarchy
  • Device status presents the information about the datasource for the selected device or devices if currently active level is a group consisting of multiple devices.
  • Setups page is used to manage setups available for the device. Setup is a collection of one or more measurement configurations
  • Measurements page is where most of the actual configuration work is performed. Measurement configuration which is a collection of one or more analysis’.
  • Alarms page is used to managed alarms available for the current hierarchy level

Setups, Measurement configurations and Alarms are all inherited downwards in the hierarchy. At the same time, all inherited values can be overridden on lower levels. This makes it possible to create sane default configurations at the top level which can then be utilized as is or in modified from on lower levels.
